About Douce Nature

Douce Nature is an organic hygiene brand belonging to the EkiBio group, sold in France for around 30 years. Its products carry Cosmebio and Ecocert certification, and the range covers daily hygiene for the whole family as well as cotton products such as baby ear buds and make-up removal pads.

Family hygiene, French labels

Shampoos – for coloured hair, for children and the "Papoo" school shampoo – lead the 9 Douce Nature products we list, joined by Marseille liquid soap, shower gels, a propolis toothpaste and a verbena deodorant. GLYCERIN and AQUA appear in 8, and PARFUM, SODIUM BENZOATE, SODIUM CHLORIDE and CITRIC ACID in 7 each, with the mild surfactants COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE and COCO-GLUCOSIDE in 6.

Fragrance is declared in 7 formulas (78%) and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) in 1 (11%). None contains parabens or silicones.

Reading organic labels

On certified organic products an asterisk usually marks ingredients from organic farming, with the share of organic and natural-origin ingredients stated below the list. Fragrances in such products still have to name substances like LIMONENE or LINALOOL once they pass set levels, even when they come from essential oils.
