About Duru
Duru is a soap and personal care brand of Evyap, the Turkish soap manufacturer founded in 1927. Evyap describes itself as one of the world's three largest soap producers, with five plants in Turkey and others in Egypt and Malaysia. Duru products range from bar and shower soaps to kolonya, the Turkish cologne.
Mostly kolonya
Three of our 4 Duru entries are colognes – a Lemon Cologne Spray, an 80° Ocean Freshness Cologne and a 200 ml lemon kolonya in a glass bottle – and the fourth is a Fresh Sensations ocean breeze shower soap. PARFUM, LIMONENE, GERANIOL and AQUA appear in all 4; CITRONELLOL, LINALYL ACETATE, LINALOOL, CITRUS AURANTIUM PEEL OIL, CITRAL and ALCOHOL DENAT. in 3.
All 4 declare fragrance (100%) and 3 contain denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT., 75%). None contains parabens or silicones.
Degrees on a kolonya
The '80°' on a kolonya bottle refers to its alcohol strength, which is why ALCOHOL DENAT. leads those lists. Lemon kolonya relies on citrus oils, so expect LIMONENE and CITRAL near the top; the shower soap, by contrast, carries the same fragrance allergens in a water-based cleansing formula.
