About Logona
Logona is the organic-store brand of Logocos Naturkosmetik, a company founded in 1978 by a naturopath in Hanover, Germany; its sister brand Sante is sold mainly through mass retail. According to L'Oréal, which announced an agreement to acquire Logocos in 2018, all of the company's brands are vegan and certified organic. Our entries, several with French labels, are a 3-in-1 cleanser, an organic elderberry shower, a ginkgo repair shampoo and an intensive repair dry oil.
Mild surfactants and a gentle preservative
Shower gel, shampoo and cleanser are tagged among our 4 Logona products. PARFUM appears in all 4; GLYCERIN, PCA ETHYL COCOYL ARGINATE, GLYCERYL OLEATE, COCO-GLUCOSIDE, CITRIC ACID, AQUA, TOCOPHEROL and LINALOOL in 3; and ALCOHOL DENAT., PHYTIC ACID, LIMONENE, XANTHAN GUM and LAURYL GLUCOSIDE in 2.
All 4 declare fragrance (100%) and 2 list denatured alcohol (50%); none contains parabens or silicones.
Alcohol in natural cosmetics
Certified natural cosmetics often use ALCOHOL DENAT. – typically denatured with permitted natural agents – as a solvent or to support preservation, so seeing it in half the set is not unusual for the category. The dry oil works differently from the rinse-off products; compare it with other body oils.
