About Mediheal
Mediheal is a South Korean skin care brand owned by L&P Cosmetic and launched in 2009. It built its name on sheet masks – the company claims more than 1.6 billion sold since launch – and entered the US market in 2019 with a line-up of 20 products.
Thirteen ingredients in every mask
All 4 Mediheal entries are face masks: three Synergy Wrapping Masks (Derma, Calming, Blemish) and a tester of the Essentian Mask Calming Moisture. Thirteen ingredients appear in all 4 – among them GLYCERIN, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, PROPANEDIOL, DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL, CARBOMER, XANTHAN GUM, ARGININE, AMINOBUTYRIC ACID, HYDROGENATED LECITHIN, DISODIUM EDTA, HYDROXYACETOPHENONE and 1,2-HEXANEDIOL.
None of the 4 declares fragrance, parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Glycols doing double duty
Many K-beauty formulas use 1,2-HEXANEDIOL and HYDROXYACETOPHENONE as part of the preservation system alongside humectant glycols, which is why classic preservative names may be missing from the top of the list. A 'Tester' pack can differ from the retail version, so check the box you actually buy.
