Packaging and what the product is

The manufacturer’s photo shows a lilac, animal-shaped plastic bottle (a cartoon bird/bear figure) with a white pump on top and a yellow label; the product page names the 400 ml size. The playful shape is clearly aimed at encouraging children to wash their hands.

Ingredient analysis

The formula is short. Sodium Cocoamphoacetate and Cocamidopropyl Betaine are mild amphoteric surfactants, and Isostearamide MIPA thickens the soap. Aloe Barbadensis leaf juice, jasmine flower extract, Glyceryl Laurate and glycerin are the softening and “botanical” part, all in the middle-to-lower part of the list.

Preservation is built on levulinic acid and sodium levulinate, sodium anisate, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate – a combination often used in brands that avoid classic preservatives. Citric acid sits high on the list, which keeps the pH mildly acidic.

What to watch out for

The product contains parfum; the ingredient list we have does not name individual fragrance allergens. A fragrance is still a fragrance, so children with known fragrance sensitivity may do better with an unscented soap. As with any soap, keep it away from the eyes.

Most reviewers praise the jasmine scent, the bottle that children enjoy using, good lather and gentleness; several adults say they use it themselves. One three-star review states the opposite experience: for very dry hands it felt more drying than the calendula version from the same line.
