Wat het is
p-Phenylenediamine HCl is benzeen-1,4-diaminedihydrochloride, een zout van p-fenyleendiamine (PPD), een aromatisch amine dat wordt gebruikt als voorloper van oxidatieve kleurstoffen; als kleurstof heeft het Colour Index-nummer CI 76060. CosIng vermeldt het als haarkleurend ingrediënt. In de EU valt het onder vermeldingen in Bijlage III (stoffen waarvoor beperkingen gelden) voor oxidatieve haarverfproducten en voor producten om wimpers te kleuren, met verplichte waarschuwingen op het etiket.
Waar het wordt gebruikt
Staat op de ingrediëntenlijst van een klein aantal producten.
Grenzen van de interpretatie
De INCI-lijst laat zien welke ingrediënten aanwezig zijn, niet hoeveel van elk. Boven 1% worden ingrediënten in afnemende volgorde van gewicht vermeld; onder 1% is de volgorde vrij.
Zie het onderdeel over EU-regelgeving voor de geldende limieten, voorwaarden en waarschuwingen op het etiket; die verschillen tussen haarverfproducten en producten om wimpers te kleuren. De plaats op de lijst zegt niets over de uiteindelijke tint; die hangt af van de combinatie van kleurstoffen in het product.
