About Uriage

Laboratoires Dermatologiques d'Uriage were created in 1992 around the thermal water of Uriage, a spring at the foot of the Belledonne massif in the French Alps where a spa operates. The water is the common ingredient of the brand's dermocosmetic lines, which include Bariéderm, Xémose, Bariésun, Hyséac, Roséliane and the 1er Soins Bébé baby range. Our entries are the 1er Change nappy cream, 1ère Crème Minérale SPF 50+, the Xémose soothing oil-balm and Bariésun Kids SPF 50+ milk.

Unscented, silicone-rich

Only one of our 4 Uriage products is tagged (as sunscreen). GLYCERIN, BUTYLENE GLYCOL and HYDROGENATED POLYDECENE appear in all 4; AQUA, O-CYMEN-5-OL, DIMETHICONE, CHLORPHENESIN, XANTHAN GUM, CITRIC ACID and TOCOPHERYL ACETATE in 3; and GLUCOSE, TREHALOSE and DICAPRYLYL CARBONATE in 2.

None declares fragrance, parabens or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.); silicones are listed in 3 (75%).

Where the thermal water sits

The thermal water is listed under its own INCI name, separate from AQUA – so a product can contain both, and the position of each tells you which dominates. For the two SPF 50+ products, compare UV filters rather than base ingredients; the mineral cream and the kids' milk may rely on different filter types.
