Packaging and what the product is

The Open Beauty Facts photo shows a tall transparent bottle of golden oil with a rose-gold cap and a white Balea label reading “Duschöl” with a short description mentioning very dry skin. Reviewers like that the clear bottle shows how much is left. This record covers the older soybean-oil formula.

Ingredient analysis

Soybean oil is the first ingredient, followed by laureth-4 and MIPA-laureth sulfate – surfactants that let the oil emulsify with water and rinse off, so it cleanses while leaving an oily film. Polyglyceryl-3 diisostearate, castor oil, tocopheryl acetate and tocopherol add skin feel and protect the oil from oxidation. Propylene glycol and laureth-2 are minor solvents. There is no water, so no added preservative.

What to watch out for

MIPA-laureth sulfate is a sulphate-type surfactant, though in a high-oil base its effect is softened. Parfum, benzyl alcohol and linalool are declared. Shower oils make the floor and tub slippery – rinse the surface afterwards. Soybean oil can turn rancid with age; keep the bottle closed and use it within a reasonable time.

On Wizaż, the main product page showed 4.2/5 from 18 ratings and a newer duplicate page 3.4/5 from 5 ratings (both checked 31 Oct 2026); most reviews are from 2017–2024. Fans with dry skin say it softens and does not dry out, and several Polish reviewers bought it in Germany or Austria as an alternative to a similar Isana oil. A recurring use is cleaning make-up sponges and brushes. Critics found it too watery, too greasy for the whole body, or inferior to that Isana product; the scent is described as typical oily, love-it-or-leave-it.

Who it may suit

People with dry skin who like shower oils and do not mind a light oily film. Not ideal for those who dislike greasy textures or need a fragrance-free wash, and shoppers should check whether their bottle is the old soybean or the new rapeseed version.
