Our review

A fragrance-free, rich barrier cream that combines ceramides with petrolatum and humectants. Excellent value for dry skin on the body; on acne-prone faces it can feel heavy.

Packaging and what the product is

The quoted photo shows the large jar version; the cream is also sold in tubes. It is a thick, unscented cream for face and body aimed at dry to very dry skin.

Ingredient analysis

After water comes glycerin (a humectant), followed by fatty alcohols (cetearyl and cetyl alcohol), caprylic/capric triglyceride and the occlusives petrolatum and dimethicone – a classic combination that binds water and reduces its loss. The brand’s signature lipid complex appears lower in the list: ceramides NP and AP (plus a third ceramide listed at the end), cholesterol and phytosphingosine, the same families of lipids found in the skin barrier. Sodium hyaluronate and tocopherol are minor additions. It is preserved with phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin and contains no fragrance.

What to watch out for

The formula has no fragrance allergens and no ingredients with special EU restrictions. Its richness comes from petrolatum, fatty alcohols and emulsifiers, which some people with acne-prone skin associate with clogged pores. The jar format means fingers go into the product, which some users find less hygienic.

What users say

On MakeupAlley it averaged 4.2/5 from 629 reviews with 81% saying they would buy it again; on Acne.org 4.1 from 16 reviews (checked 30 October 2026). People praise it for very dry skin, flaking and dryness caused by acne treatments, and for being fragrance-free and good value. The main complaints are a heavy or tacky feel on the face and breakouts in some acne-prone users; it is often described as best for the body.

Who it may suit

Dry, very dry and easily irritated skin, especially on the body, and anyone who prefers fragrance-free products. Oily or acne-prone faces may prefer a lighter lotion.
