Our review

A classic SLES-based face wash for oily and blemish-prone skin, with zinc, magnesium and manganese PCA, aloe and hexamidine; popular and fairly well rated, with remarks about rinsing and occasional dryness.

Packaging and what the product is

The manufacturer’s photo shows a white pump bottle with a silver pump and green accents, labelled “Iwostin Purritin – aktywny żel oczyszczający” (active cleansing gel) for oily, acne-prone skin. Older reviews describe a white tube with a green click cap, so the packaging has changed over time.

Ingredient analysis

The cleansing base is Sodium Laureth Sulfate with Lauryl Glucoside and Cocamidopropyl Betaine, a common, effective mix; PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate and PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides soften it, and PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate thickens. Glycerin, aloe leaf juice and allantoin add comfort.

Zinc PCA, sodium PCA, magnesium PCA and manganese PCA form the mineral complex typical of products for oily skin; zinc PCA is often used for its sebum-related claims. Hexamidine Diisethionate is an antimicrobial preservative (EU maximum 0.1%), supported by phenoxyethanol, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate and ethylhexylglycerin.

What to watch out for

The gel contains parfum, though no individual allergens are declared in the list we have. SLES-based washes can feel drying for some people when used twice a day; dry or sensitive skin may prefer a milder cleanser. A cleanser cannot treat acne on its own – persistent breakouts are a matter for a dermatologist.

What users say

On Wizaż the current (“new”) version had an average of 4.2/5 from 311 ratings (checked 30 October 2026). Many reviewers with oily or combination, blemish-prone skin say it cleans well without a tight feeling and suits their skin. Critical points: one user found it hard to rinse off and the scent lingering, and noticed slight dryness after a month of morning-and-evening use; another says it does not help with blackheads or pores. Note that some reviews refer to the older tube packaging.

Who it may suit

People with oily or combination skin prone to blemishes who want a straightforward, foaming daily face wash. Dry or very sensitive skin, or anyone avoiding sulfates and fragrance, will probably prefer a gentler gel.
