The soraya.pl photo shows a tall clear bottle with a white cap, wrapped in a label printed with pink grapefruit slices, flowers and green leaves, a “99%” natural-origin badge and the text “SORAYA plante – odświeżający płyn micelarny – grejpfrut, aloes” (refreshing micellar water – grapefruit, aloe). Reviewers refer to a 400 ml bottle. It is used on cotton pads to remove make-up from face and eyes.

Ingredient analysis

Propanediol and maltooligosyl glucoside (humectants) follow water, then grapefruit fruit extract and aloe leaf extract, hydrogenated starch hydrolysate and glycerin. The only surfactant is caprylyl/capryl glucoside, a mild sugar-based cleanser. Tetrasodium glutamate diacetate is a biodegradable chelator, citric acid adjusts the pH, and phenoxyethanol with caprylyl glycol preserves the product. No parfum is listed.

What to watch out for

The list is short and contains no declared fragrance allergens. Any micellar water can sting if it gets into the eyes in larger amounts – one reviewer mentions this when using too much on the pad. It is not designed for waterproof make-up. Those with very dry skin may still want to follow with a moisturiser.

Satisfied users like that it does not irritate or tighten their skin, removes everyday make-up and foundation, has a subtle natural scent, comes in a large bottle and is inexpensive. Critics say mascara needs a lot of rubbing and extra pads, some felt stinging in the eyes, dryness or tightness, and one user’s dry, couperose-prone skin did not tolerate it. Waterproof make-up is not removed.

Who it may suit

People with normal or combination skin who wear light make-up and want a simple, fragrance-free micellar water. Those who wear heavy eye make-up or have very sensitive eyes may prefer a bi-phase remover or a cleansing balm.
