Our review

An older Vichy anti-wrinkle eye cream with caffeine, escin, rhamnose and adenosine in a silicone-rich base. Users like the light, fast-absorbing texture but rarely see a lifting effect.

Packaging and what the product is

Liftactiv Yeux is a 15 ml anti-wrinkle and firming eye cream from Vichy's Liftactiv line. We have no licensed photo of this exact version, so none is shown. The formula in our record (EAN 3337871323332) is an earlier generation; Vichy's current Liftactiv eye products, such as Collagen Specialist or the hyaluronic-acid eye care, have different compositions.

Ingredient analysis

After water come dimethicone and hydrogenated polyisobutene, which give slip and a smooth, powdery finish, followed by glycerin and rhamnose, a sugar the brand associated with its anti-ageing claims. Cetyl, stearyl and myristyl alcohols, glyceryl stearate, PEG-40 stearate and beeswax form the cream structure.

For the eye area the formula adds caffeine and escin (from horse chestnut), commonly used in de-puffing products, plus adenosine, sodium dextran sulfate, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate and ascorbyl glucoside (vitamin C derivatives) and tocopheryl acetate. Polymethyl methacrylate gives a soft-focus effect. Preservation relies on phenoxyethanol and caprylyl glycol; no fragrance appears in the list.

What to watch out for

Triethanolamine adjusts pH and is restricted in the EU in connection with nitrosamine formation – see its ingredient page. Polymethyl methacrylate is a synthetic polymer; check the EU microplastics rules on its ingredient page. Because this is an older formula, check the label of the product you buy – it may differ.

What users say

On MakeupAlley the product averages 3.6/5 from 25 reviews, and 60% of reviewers would buy it again (checked 30.10.2026). Positive comments focus on the light, non-greasy texture that absorbs well and on hydration, with some mentions of less puffiness or softer fine lines. Many reviewers saw no visible lifting or wrinkle reduction, and some found it either not moisturising enough or too rich.

Who it may suit

Those who want a light, fragrance-free daily eye cream with caffeine for a smoother look and modest hydration, rather than a product expected to visibly lift the eye area.
