About Aroma-Zone
Aroma-Zone began at the end of 1999 as an aromatherapy information website set up by a French family of engineers – a father and his two children – and in May 2000 became one of the first online shops for essential oils. In 2005 it moved to Provence, at the foot of Mont Ventoux, and started offering ingredients for making cosmetics at home; its laboratories are in Cabrières-d'Avignon. Today the range spans beauty, wellness and household products.
Bases and finished products
Our 4 Aroma-Zone entries are mixed: a neutral gentle washing base (base lavante neutre), a verbena sorbet shower gel, a henna-based plant hair colour and a niacinamide serum with copper and zinc. GLYCERIN and AQUA appear in 3, followed by a set of mild surfactants and helpers in 2 each: SODIUM COCOAMPHOACETATE, LAURYL GLUCOSIDE, COCO-GLUCOSIDE, SODIUM COCOYL GLUTAMATE, GLYCERYL OLEATE, LACTIC ACID and COPPER PCA.
Only 1 formula (25%) declares fragrance; none contains parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
A base is meant to be modified
The neutral washing base is sold as a starting point for your own blends, so its INCI list describes the product before you add anything – once you mix in essential oils, allergens such as LIMONENE will be part of your finished product. For the henna colour, the list shows the plant powders rather than synthetic dyes; read it in full before use.
