A leave-in hair “oil” that is really a silicone serum with a little argan and macadamia oil and a strong fragrance. Most reviewers like the shine, smoothing and scent; some found it heavy or greasy, and one points out that the silicone base makes it unsuitable for classic pre-wash oiling.

Packaging and what the product is

The quoted photo from onlybio.life shows a small clear 20 ml bottle of golden liquid next to a purple carton with the word “repair” split across two lines and the text “olejek 10 w 1 – intensywna regeneracja – olej makadamia, olej arganowy”. It belongs to the Hair in Balance by ONLYBIO Repair line. The product is applied in a few drops to damp or dry lengths and ends and is not rinsed out. One Wizaż reviewer notes the bottle has no dropper or pump.

Ingredient analysis

The first five ingredients are volatile and non-volatile silicones and light solvents: C9-12 alkane, dimethicone, dimethiconol, neopentyl glycol diheptanoate and isododecane. This gives the slip, shine and anti-frizz effect typical of hair serums; the volatile parts evaporate, leaving a thin silicone film. Argania Spinosa kernel oil and Macadamia Integrifolia seed oil appear after parfum, so they are present in small amounts.

CI 60725 is a violet colorant. There is no water in the formula, so no preservative is needed.

What to watch out for

The fragrance is prominent: after parfum the label declares linalool, benzyl salicylate, limonene, geranyl acetate, patchouli and orange peel oils, vanillin, tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, linalyl acetate and pinene – people sensitive to fragrance should keep it off the scalp and skin. Silicone films can build up on fine hair if a gentle shampoo is used; an occasional clarifying wash helps.

Criticisms: one reviewer felt it did practically nothing and greased her hair even in tiny amounts; another found the small bottle without an applicator impractical, and a third was surprised by how much she poured out at once; and one notes that because of the silicones it is effectively a serum rather than an oil for oiling routines.
