Packaging and what the product is

The quoted photo from floslek.pl shows a white 30 ml tube with a red band and yellow arnica flowers, next to its carton. The front reads “ARNICA krem pod oczy / eye cream” with the claims “reduces dark circles and smooths wrinkles”, “arnica extract 3%, acerola extract 1%”, “95% ingredients of natural origin” and a “Hello Vegan” badge. It is part of Floslek Pharma’s line for skin with visible capillaries.

Ingredient analysis

This is a classic oil-in-water cream. After water come Sorbitan Stearate (emulsifier), the emollient esters cetearyl isononanoate, ethylhexyl stearate and isoamyl laurate, glycerin and pentylene glycol as humectants, and Butyrospermum Parkii (shea) butter with caprylic/capric triglyceride for a soft, non-greasy film.

The plant actives sit in the middle: Arnica Montana and Arnica Chamissonis flower extracts, Aesculus Hippocastanum (horse chestnut) seed extract, Malpighia Glabra (acerola) fruit extract, plus Chondrus Crispus (red algae) and Lithothamnion calcareum extracts. Allantoin, panthenol and tocopheryl acetate add soothing and antioxidant support. Carbomer neutralised with triethanolamine gives the light texture; the preservatives are o-cymen-5-ol, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate.

What to watch out for

Arnica belongs to the Asteraceae (daisy) family; people with a known allergy to these plants should be cautious, especially near the eyes. The cream contains parfum, although no individually labelled fragrance allergens appear in the INCI. Dark circles often have structural or pigment causes that a cream cannot change, which is worth keeping in mind given the claims on the box.

The positives repeat across reviews: light, quickly absorbed, does not migrate into the eyes, good under make-up, large and long-lasting tube, low price and no irritation. The main criticism is that reviewers saw no lightening of dark circles, no reduction of puffiness and no smoothing of fine lines – several gave one or two stars specifically for that reason.

Some older reviews describe a gel-like texture or a 15 ml tube, so they may refer to earlier versions of the product. With only ten ratings, the picture is limited but consistent.

Who it may suit

Anyone who wants a simple, light, budget eye moisturiser to wear under make-up. If your main goal is visibly lighter dark circles, user reports suggest you should not expect much from it.
