About SVR
Laboratoires SVR is a French dermocosmetics company founded in 1962 that designs, manufactures and distributes its own products. It is sold through pharmacies and selective outlets in more than 75 countries. The investment group HLD backed the company after 2014, when it was under safeguard proceedings, and sold it to Kresk in 2024. Our database includes Cicavit+ Crème, Sensifine AR, Topialyse Baume Protect+, Sun Secure sprays and Xerial 50 foot cream.
Body, sun and feet
Body creams and sunscreens lead the 6 SVR products we list. CITRIC ACID is in all 6, and GLYCERIN, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL and 1,2-HEXANEDIOL follow in 4 each, ahead of TOCOPHEROL and BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER (shea butter) in 3.
Fragrance is declared in 2 formulas (33%) and silicones in 1 (17%); none contains parabens or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Glycols and numbers
PENTYLENE GLYCOL, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL and 1,2-HEXANEDIOL often appear together in pharmacy skin care, where they help keep the formula stable. The '50' in Xerial 50 and the SPF on the sun sprays are product claims, not ingredient amounts – the INCI list itself gives no percentages, only descending order.
