Our review

A sprayable SPF50+ “sun water” for face and body using only modern, photostable organic UV filters in a light ester base. Users mostly like the easy application and comfort; staining of light clothing is the most notable complaint.

Packaging and what the product is

The photo on fr.svr.com shows a tall transparent 200 ml bottle with a white pump spray, filled with an orange-tinted liquid and labelled “SVR 50+ Sun Secure”, held between two hands on an orange background. It is an oil-in-water style “eau solaire” for face and body; the ingredient list provided matches SVR’s current SPF50+ version.

Ingredient analysis

After water come the light emollients dicaprylyl carbonate and coco-caprylate/caprate, which keep the texture fluid. UV protection relies on three filters: diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (UVA), bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine (broad UVA/UVB) and ethylhexyl triazone (UVB) – all photostable filters authorised in the EU.

Niacinamide sits in the upper half of the list. Bixa orellana (annatto) seed extract, soybean oil, cress (Lepidium sativum) sprout extract and sunflower oil with tocopherol complete the care part; annatto is naturally orange and contributes to the colour of the liquid. It is preserved with potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate and contains a parfum, without declared allergens.

What to watch out for

The formula is perfumed, which fragrance-sensitive users should note. Reviewers report yellow marks on white clothing, so letting it dry fully before dressing is advisable. As with any sunscreen, the stated protection depends on applying enough and reapplying regularly; sun protection is only one part of sensible sun behaviour.

What users say

On Redcare Pharmacie (France) the 2×200 ml pack has 4.2/5 from 11 ratings (checked 31 Oct 2026). Positive reviews describe a product the whole family could use, easy to apply, with no sunburn when reapplied regularly and no greasy hands. Criticism: one buyer found it greasier than expected, and another says the yellowish product permanently stained collars and sleeves of white clothes.

On LOOKFANTASTIC there are only 2 reviews (5/5, checked 31 Oct 2026), praising a non-sticky feel and the modern filters. Overall the number of opinions is modest.

Who it may suit

People who want a quick, sprayable high-SPF product for face and body and prefer newer-generation filters. Those who wear a lot of white or light fabrics, or who avoid fragrance, should weigh the reported staining and the added parfum.
