Our review

A rich, fragrance-free pharmacy cream for irritated or damaged skin, built on shea butter, emollient oils and a silicone-wax film. The ingredient list provided is an earlier Cicavit+ formula; reviewers mostly praise its comfort, while some find it too greasy for everyday use.

Packaging and what the product is

The photo on fr.svr.com shows a small white tube with a flip cap, labelled “SVR” and “Cicavit+”, held in a hand next to a swatch of thick white cream on a pink background. It shows the current Cicavit+ Crème (sold as “HPPI”); the version reviewed here comes in a 100 ml tube. SVR markets the cream for irritated, damaged or recently stressed skin in adults and children.

Ingredient analysis

The list supplied for this product is an earlier formulation – SVR’s current Cicavit+ Crème list is different (it now includes, for example, babassu, sunflower and corn oils and niacinamide). In this version, water is followed by hydrogenated polyisobutene (a non-greasy synthetic emollient), shea butter and glycerin. Dimethiconol behenate and dimethicone create a protective, slightly occlusive film, and babassu oil and ethylhexyl stearate add slip.

The care actives sit in the middle of the list: alpha-glucan oligosaccharide (a prebiotic sugar), caffeyl glucoside (an antioxidant), disodium acetyl glucosamine phosphate and a sugar complex with glucose, rhamnose and glucuronic acid. It contains no classic preservatives: 1,2-hexanediol, caprylyl glycol, pentylene glycol and p-anisic acid keep it stable.

What to watch out for

There is no parfum and no labelled fragrance allergens, which suits sensitive skin. The texture is fairly occlusive, so people prone to clogged pores may prefer to use it locally rather than all over the face. A cosmetic cream is not a substitute for medical care of wounds or skin conditions – those should be checked by a doctor or pharmacist.

What users say

On LOOKFANTASTIC the cream has 4.75/5 from 36 reviews in several languages (checked 31 Oct 2026). Reviewers describe a thick, comforting cream they keep at hand for irritated patches, dry hands, cold-weather redness or skin stressed by retinoids, and several say it soothed their skin quickly. On jevaismieuxmerci.com a single 5/5 review mentions using it on small skin marks.

Criticism is limited: one buyer finds it too greasy for daily use and keeps it for irritated phases (also using it as a mask), and another complains that the thin plastic cap broke. Reviews do not say which formula version they refer to.

Who it may suit

People with dry, irritated or sensitised areas who want a fragrance-free, rich protective cream for occasional use. Those with oily or acne-prone skin may find it too heavy for daily all-over use.
