Our review

An intensive anti-dandruff shampoo with a clear active set (piroctone olamine plus salicylic acid) on a classic SLES base. Users praise how quickly it calms itching; the price and the fragrance divide opinion.

Packaging and what the product is

Nodé DS+ Shampooing is Bioderma's “intense” anti-dandruff shampoo. The quoted photo shows the pale-blue carton with the Nodé DS+ name, the claims “Antipelliculaire intense / Anti-dandruff intense shampoo”, “Severe dandruff, itching” and the 125 ml capacity. Inside is a small squeeze tube – a size that signals a treatment-style product used for a few weeks rather than an everyday family shampoo. In our database the entry is listed under the shortened name “Node Ds+”.

Ingredient analysis

The cleansing base is sodium laureth sulfate softened with amphoteric and mild co-surfactants (sodium cocoamphoacetate, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, coco-betaine) and PEG-60 almond glycerides, which reduce the stripping feel of SLES.

The functional core sits in the middle of the list: piroctone olamine, an anti-dandruff agent that also has a preservative role, and salicylic acid, which helps loosen scales. They are supported by zinc gluconate, pyridoxine HCl (vitamin B6), undecyl alcohol and a group of sugars – mannitol, xylitol, rhamnose and fructooligosaccharides – that the brand presents as part of its scalp-balancing complex. Polyquaternium-10 adds light conditioning. A fragrance (parfum) closes the list.

What to watch out for

Piroctone olamine and salicylic acid are both regulated in EU cosmetics with use-specific limits – see the EU regulation section on their ingredient pages. Salicylic acid is not to be used in products for children under three, with an exception for shampoos; read the label if you consider it for a child.

SLES-based shampoos can feel drying on long hair, so many people use a conditioner on the lengths. Persistent, severe or spreading scaling and redness can have medical causes – a dermatologist should assess it.

What users say

On Wizaż the shampoo scores 4.6/5 from 14 reviews (checked 30.10.2026). Reviewers most often say it relieves itching quickly, reduces flakes and does not dry the scalp, and several mention that results lasted after they stopped. Recurring complaints are the high price for 125 ml, a tube that is hard to open, and a scent or texture some dislike; a few people saw no effect. The sample is small, so treat these impressions as indicative.

Who it may suit

People with persistent dandruff and an itchy scalp who want a short-term, targeted shampoo and accept a sulfate base. Those looking for a fragrance-free or sulfate-free option should compare other products.
