Our review

A shimmering body lotion that combines mica-based glow with erythrulose, a gradual self-tanning ingredient, in a base of plant oils and shea butter. A cosmetic “glow” product rather than a treatment.

Packaging and what the product is

The quoted manufacturer photo shows a white squeeze tube with copper-pink lettering: the Clochee logo, “GLOW body lotion” and a note about gold mica and erythrulose. It is a 100 ml body lotion meant to leave a luminous, slightly bronzed finish on the skin.

Ingredient analysis

The base is caprylic/capric triglyceride, glyceryl stearate and glycerin with soybean oil, aloe leaf juice, shea butter, wheat germ oil and walnut seed oil – a nourishing, fairly rich body formula. Mica, titanium dioxide, tin oxide and CI 77491 (iron oxide) provide the visible shimmer. Erythrulose is the notable functional ingredient: like DHA in self-tanners, it reacts with proteins in the outer skin layer and gradually develops a light tan colour over hours, which fades as the skin renews. Amber and bamboo extracts and tocopherol are minor supporting ingredients. Preservatives: dehydroacetic acid, benzyl alcohol, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate.

What to watch out for

Because of erythrulose, colour may build with repeated use and can be uneven on dry areas such as knees and elbows; it does not protect from the sun. The lotion is fragranced (parfum and aroma, with linalool and limonene). Wheat germ and walnut oils come from wheat and tree nuts; refined oils rarely cause problems, but people with relevant allergies may prefer to check with a doctor or choose another product.

What users say

We did not find independent user reviews with verifiable ratings for this lotion (the pharmacy listing we checked showed none), so we report no average and no user consensus.

Who it may suit

People who want a subtle shimmer and a gentle, build-up tan effect on legs and arms, especially in summer, and who like scented body care. Not the choice for anyone who wants a purely moisturising, fragrance-free or colour-free lotion.
