Our review

A fragrance-free barrier cream with ectoin, a ‘microbiome complex’ of ferments and prebiotic sugars, ceramide NP with fatty acids, squalane and plant butters. The handful of reviews are all 5-star, praising comfort and the lack of scent; the main complaints are price and a tall, tippy bottle.

Packaging and what the product is

The image from mohani.pl shows a pale-blue airless pump bottle from the Mohani Derm line, labelled “barierowy krem do twarzy – skin barrier cream” with “kompleksy mikrobiotyczne 5%, ektoina 2%, ceramid NP”, next to a “Kosmetyczna Marka Roku 2025” badge. The shop lists it as 50 ml. It is a leave-on face cream for day or night.

Ingredient analysis

The emulsion base is water, cetearyl alcohol, propanediol and caprylic/capric triglyceride, with potassium cetyl phosphate as emulsifier. Ectoin – an extremolyte that binds water and is used to support stressed skin – is fifth, consistent with the 2% on the label. Myristyl myristate, octyldodecanol, mango seed butter, jojoba oil and squalane provide the emollient body.

The “microbiome” part combines inulin, alpha-glucan oligosaccharide and xylitol (prebiotic sugars) with yeast/barley and lactobacillus ferments. Ceramide NP is paired with linoleic, linolenic and oleic acids and triolein, plus panthenol, oat kernel, hop and ashwagandha root extracts and a Lithops callus lysate. Gums thicken it; preservation is sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate with pentylene glycol. No parfum.

What to watch out for

There are no declared fragrance allergens and no added scent, which suits reactive skin. Benzoate/sorbate systems work best at a mildly acidic pH, and a few people are sensitive to them. Plant extracts (oat, hops, ashwagandha) are low on the list but worth noting for anyone with a known plant allergy. Note that the INCI list on the shop spells one emollient “Mirystyl Mirystate” – it is myristyl myristate.

What users say

Opinions are few. On Wizaż the cream has 5/5 from 2 ratings, and on mohani.pl 5.00/5 from 3 ratings without written text (both checked 30 Oct 2026). The Wizaż reviewers like the absence of fragrance, the pump that doses well, a nourishing but spreadable texture, no stinging, and a soothing, slightly cooling feel; one says a bottle lasted two people about two and a half months.

Downsides mentioned are the fairly high price for a barrier cream and a tall, narrow bottle that is easy to knock over. With five ratings in total, it is too early to speak of a consensus.

Who it may suit

Dry, dehydrated, sensitised or over-exfoliated skin, and people who want a fragrance-free cream to pair with acids or retinoids. Very oily skin may find the butters and esters a little heavy for daytime.
