Our review
A fragrance-free 200 ml micellar water for sensitive skin with a mild solubiliser and surfactant system, grape seed oil and panthenol. It is a well-rated, widely available make-up remover; the main complaint is eye stinging for a minority of users.

Packaging and what the product is
The Open Beauty Facts photo shows a clear 200 ml bottle with the blue NIVEA roundel, the MicellAIR Skin Breathe name, an O₂ graphic and a purple-accented label describing a micellar water for sensitive skin. It is used on a cotton pad for face, eyes and lips and does not need rinsing according to the usual Nivea instructions.
Ingredient analysis
PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil is the main solubiliser; poloxamer 124 and disodium cocoyl glutamate are mild cleansing agents that form the micelles. Grape seed oil is a small oily component that helps lift make-up, while panthenol and glyceryl glucoside are conditioning extras. Polyquaternium-10 leaves a soft feel. Citric acid and sodium acetate buffer the pH. Phenoxyethanol with 1,2-hexanediol preserves it, and trisodium EDTA binds metal ions. There is no fragrance.
What to watch out for
No fragrance allergens are declared. Even fragrance-free micellar waters can sting the eyes because of their surfactants – several reviewers experienced this – so avoid pressing the pad into the eye and rinse if irritation occurs. Some users prefer to rinse micellar water off when their skin is reactive.
What users say
On Wizaż this variant had 4.3/5 from 411 ratings (checked 31 Oct 2026). Many reviewers say it removes everyday make-up quickly without rubbing, leaves no sticky or oily film, is economical and fairly priced. Negative reviews – some from people with very sensitive skin – describe stinging, burning eyes or a tight feeling, which they did not expect from a product labelled for sensitive skin. Packaging changes over time mean some reviews refer to 100 ml or redesigned bottles.
Who it may suit
People with normal or sensitive skin who want an inexpensive, fragrance-free micellar water for daily make-up removal. Those whose eyes react to cleansing surfactants may want to test it first or choose a dedicated eye make-up remover.
