Our review

A fragrance-free micellar water for sensitive skin with panthenol, glycerin and a little grape seed oil, built on PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil and mild glucoside/glutamate cleansers; rated well by buyers for removing make-up gently.

Packaging and what the product is

The photo (from Open Beauty Facts) shows the 400 ml clear plastic bottle with a white cap and lilac accents, labelled in Italian “MicellAIR Skin Breathe – acqua micellare extra-delicata – detergente 3-in-1”. It is a no-rinse micellar water for removing make-up and cleansing the face, eyes and lips, from the version for sensitive skin.

Ingredient analysis

PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, the second ingredient, is the solubiliser that forms micelles and keeps the oil dispersed in water. Decyl Glucoside, Poloxamer 124 and Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate are mild cleansing agents. Vitis Vinifera (grape) seed oil sits third, which gives the water a slightly more caring, less “stripping” character; panthenol, glycerin, sorbitol and pantolactone add moisture.

Polyquaternium-10 is a conditioning polymer. Preservation relies on phenoxyethanol with 1,2-hexanediol and propylene glycol; trisodium EDTA is a chelator.

What to watch out for

No parfum is listed, which is a plus for sensitive skin and eyes. Micellar waters are designed to be wiped off rather than rinsed, but people with reactive skin often rinse afterwards with water to remove surfactant residue. Phenoxyethanol is a permitted preservative (max. 1% in the EU).

What users say

On Lyko the 400 ml sensitive-skin version had an average of 4.5/5 from 58 ratings (checked 30 October 2026). Reviewers say it removes make-up easily, is cheap and gentle, and several have used it for years; one describes it as “gold” for her sensitive skin. One reviewer reports getting a rash after use (and says her sister did too). We did not find a second large rating source for this exact variant.

Who it may suit

People with normal to sensitive skin who want an inexpensive, fragrance-free micellar water for daily make-up removal. Those who react to cleansing agents left on the skin may prefer to rinse after use.
