Our review

A light, mattifying 50 ml day cream for combination and oily skin, built on grape seed and hemp seed oils with rice starch, squalane, burdock extract, activated charcoal and niacinamide, scented with essential oils. Reviews on the brand’s shop are very positive; the jar and the essential-oil fragrance are the main reservations.

Packaging and what the product is

The vianek.pl photo shows a squat glass jar with a black lid and a white label covered in black botanical line drawings, with a bright yellow panel reading “duetus – KREM NA DZIEŃ – nawilża • reguluje • matuje” (moisturises, regulates, mattifies), next to its matching box. The jar holds 50 ml; one reviewer mentions a wooden spatula in the pack.

Ingredient analysis

Grape seed oil and hemp seed oil – both light, linoleic-rich oils – come straight after water, followed by rice starch, which gives the matt finish, and squalane. Sorbitan stearate, sucrose cocoate, glyceryl stearate, stearic acid and cetearyl alcohol form the emulsion. Burdock extract, activated charcoal (which also tints the cream greyish) and niacinamide are the “regulating” actives; tocopheryl acetate protects the oils. Thyme, lavender, juniper and orange essential oils scent the cream. Benzyl alcohol and dehydroacetic acid preserve it.
