Packaging and what the product is

The photo on the manufacturer’s page shows the 3-litre refill box: an illustrated cardboard bag-in-box with a red dispensing tap at the bottom, meant for topping up a pump bottle. The same Werbena (verbena) hand soap is also sold in smaller bottles with a pump and in 500 ml refills.

Ingredient analysis

The cleansing system is gentle by design: Cocamidopropyl Betaine and Lauryl Glucoside are mild surfactants, supported by Sodium Sunflowerseedamphoacetate. Glyceryl Laurate and glycerin help limit the dry, tight feel after washing, and panthenol and allantoin are classic skin-conditioning additions.

Verbena Officinalis leaf extract sits just after glycerin, so it is present in a modest amount and mainly supports the product’s theme. Preservation relies on sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate, with citric acid to adjust the pH.

What to watch out for

The scent comes from parfum plus eight declared fragrance allergens: benzyl benzoate, benzyl salicylate, citral, citronellol, geraniol, hexyl cinnamal, limonene and linalool. EU rules require these to be named on the label above set thresholds. People with a known fragrance allergy should check the list; this is a rinse-off product, so contact time is short.
