Our review

A light, inexpensive everyday moisturiser with glycerin, panthenol and silicone. Cucumber extract plays a minor role; the cream contains fragrance.

Packaging and what the product is

The photo from the manufacturer's site shows a white round jar with a green-and-white “krem ogórek” label, open to show the cream. The manufacturer currently lists a 100 ml jar with the same ingredient list as this 50 ml version. It is a light moisturiser for normal, combination and oily skin.

Ingredient analysis

The base is water with isopropyl palmitate and hexyl laurate (light emollients), glycerin as a humectant and glyceryl stearate, cetyl alcohol and ceteareth-20 as emulsifiers. Dimethicone gives a smooth, non-greasy finish. Panthenol is fairly high on the list. Cucumber fruit extract appears after propylene glycol, so it is likely present in small amounts.

What to watch out for

The cream is preserved with phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin. It contains fragrance with labelled allergens: amyl cinnamal, linalool and linalyl acetate. Isopropyl palmitate is sometimes avoided by people with acne-prone skin, although how a product behaves depends on the whole formula.
