Our review

A rich, inexpensive classic based on mineral oil and wax with olive and sunflower oils. Great for very dry patches; for the face of oily or acne-prone skin it is usually too heavy.

Packaging and what the product is

The photo shows a small green jar with a green lid and the “kultowy krem oliwkowy” label – the well-known Ziaja olive cream. A jar is convenient for a thick cream, though it means dipping fingers into the product. It is an all-purpose nourishing cream for dry skin.

Ingredient analysis

The first two ingredients are mineral oil (paraffinum liquidum) and microcrystalline wax, with water only third. This makes a very rich, occlusive cream that reduces water loss from the skin. Sunflower seed oil and olive fruit oil add plant lipids; cetyl alcohol and lanolin alcohol help form the emulsion, and vitamin E acetate and ceresin complete the base.

What to watch out for

The cream is preserved with methylparaben, a preservative permitted in the EU within set limits. It contains fragrance and a long list of labelled fragrance allergens: citronellol, geraniol, hexyl cinnamal, linalool, benzyl alcohol, cinnamyl alcohol, hydroxycitronellal, limonene, amyl cinnamal and citral. People with a known fragrance allergy should check this list. Lanolin alcohol can also cause reactions in a small number of people.

What users say

On Wizaż the new version had an average of 4.1/5 from 108 reviews when we checked on 30 October 2026. Reviewers praise how well it softens very dry areas such as elbows, feet and lips, the low price and the mild scent. The main criticisms are the heavy, greasy feel, slow absorption and concerns about clogged pores when used on the face.

Who it may suit

People with very dry skin, and anyone looking for an inexpensive cream for rough areas of the body. For combination, oily or acne-prone facial skin a lighter formula is usually a better choice.
