Our review

A gentle, clear face-wash gel for oily skin based on mild surfactants with soapwort root, sage and calendula extracts. Reviewers on Wizaż and the brand shop mostly praise a clean but not tight feel, light herbal scent and high efficiency; the main reservations are the flip-cap bottle and that it may not be enough for heavy make-up.

Packaging and what the product is

The quoted photo from sklep.fitomed.pl shows an amber plastic bottle with a black cap and a dark blue label reading “fitomed żel ziołowy do cery tłustej – herbal cleansing gel for oily skin”, with “Mydlnica lekarska / Saponaria officinalis” and “93%” at the bottom. The shop sells it as 200 g. It is a rinse-off cleansing gel for the face, used on wet skin and rinsed with water.

Ingredient analysis

Cleansing is done by a combination of mild surfactants: Coco-Betaine (amphoteric), Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (anionic, known for a creamy, gentle lather) and Lauryl Glucoside (a non-ionic sugar-based surfactant). Glycerin, fourth on the list, offsets some of the drying effect. The named plant ingredients – Saponaria Officinalis (soapwort) root extract, which contains natural saponins, Salvia Officinalis (sage) and Calendula Officinalis (marigold) extracts – follow in the middle of the list.

Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate is a mild solubiliser/co-emulsifier, citric acid adjusts the pH and sodium chloride thickens the gel. Preservation relies on benzyl alcohol with ethylhexylglycerin. The gel contains parfum, but no individually labelled fragrance allergens appear in our INCI list.

What to watch out for

As with any cleanser, avoid the eyes – one shop reviewer mentions that it stung her sister’s more sensitive eyes. Benzyl alcohol is an EU-regulated preservative and can also act as a fragrance component; it is rarely a problem in rinse-off products. People who react to fragrance should note the parfum. On dry or sensitised skin, even mild surfactants can feel tight, so following with a toner or moisturiser makes sense.

What users say

On Wizaż the current version averages 4.6/5 from 11 ratings, with 82% saying they would buy again; the brand shop lists six written reviews without a numerical score (both checked 30 Oct 2026). Users with oily and combination skin describe thorough but gentle cleansing, a fresh feeling without strong tightness, a pleasant light herbal or floral scent and very good efficiency – a pea-sized amount is enough.

Critical notes are mild: the hard bottle with a flip cap is less convenient than a pump (one user transferred it to a pump bottle), it may be too weak for heavy make-up, and one reviewer noticed no reduction in oiliness. The number of reviews is modest.

Who it may suit

Oily, combination or blemish-prone skin looking for a simple, gentle daily face wash without harsh sulphates, including as the second step after an oil cleanser. Very dry skin, or anyone wanting a cleanser that removes waterproof make-up on its own, may need something different.
