Our review

An aluminium-free roll-on that relies on zinc ricinoleate and triethyl citrate instead of antiperspirant salts – a deodorant, not an antiperspirant, with a noticeable lavender-herbal fragrance.

Packaging and what the product is

The manufacturer’s photo shows a small 50 ml roll-on bottle with a lilac label, the Biolaven name and a “Vegan” mark; the product page lists the capacity as 50 ml. It is sold on the Vianek website, but retailers list it under the Biolaven line of the same Polish manufacturer, Sylveco, so you may find it under either name.

A roll-on applies a thin liquid layer directly to the skin, which suits light emulsion formulas like this one.

Ingredient analysis

The formula is a light water-based emulsion: grape seed oil, glycerin and glyceryl stearate citrate form the base, and rice starch (Oryza Sativa Starch) helps absorb moisture and reduce the wet feel.

The odour control comes from two classic aluminium-free tools: Zinc Ricinoleate, which binds odour molecules, and Triethyl Citrate, which is used in deodorants to limit the bacterial breakdown of sweat. Panthenol, allantoin, squalane, sage leaf and oak bark extracts add a skin-conditioning layer. There are no aluminium salts on the list, so the product does not reduce sweating – it only targets odour.

What to watch out for

The scent comes from parfum, lavender oil and bergamot peel oil, and several fragrance allergens are named on the label: linalool, geraniol, limonene, plus camphor, terpineol and pinene. For most people this is not a problem, but anyone with a known fragrance allergy or very sensitive underarm skin should check the list before buying.

Benzyl alcohol and dehydroacetic acid act as preservatives; both are permitted in the EU within set limits (see the EU regulation section on their ingredient pages).

What users say

We found very few published user reviews of this exact product – pharmacy and drugstore listings we checked showed the product but no ratings. We therefore do not give an average score. Typical experiences with aluminium-free deodorants are that they work for everyday freshness but not for heavy sweating, which is consistent with the formula.

Who it may suit

People looking for a deodorant without aluminium salts, who sweat moderately and like herbal-lavender scents. Not the right choice if you need to reduce the amount of sweat or must avoid fragrance allergens.
