Our review

A rich, creamy foaming face wash that is essentially soap-based (fatty acids with potassium hydroxide) with added mild surfactants, glycerin, panthenol and hyaluronic acid. Users praise the dense lather and a non-stripped feel; some report tightness or clogged pores.

Packaging and what the product is

The photo on cosrx.com shows a frosted pale-blue 150 ml tube standing on its clear cap, printed “Triple Hyaluronic Moisturizing Cleanser”, with the key ingredients listed on the front. It is a cream-to-foam facial cleanser for daily use, part of COSRX’s Hydrium hydration line.

Ingredient analysis

After water and glycerin come stearic, myristic, lauric and palmitic acids with potassium hydroxide – the classic combination that forms potassium soaps and gives a pearly cream and dense foam. Milder co-surfactants follow: potassium cocoyl glycinate, coco-glucoside and sodium cocoyl isethionate, plus glyceryl stearate and polyquaternium-7 for a softer after-feel.

Panthenol and three forms of hyaluronic acid (hyaluronic acid, hydrolysed hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate) and Quillaja saponaria bark extract appear near the end. It contains a fragrance (without declared allergens) and is preserved with sodium benzoate, with 1,2-hexanediol and ethylhexylglycerin in support.

What to watch out for

Soap-based cleansers usually have a higher, more alkaline pH than syndet cleansers, which some dry or sensitive skins notice as tightness. The added fragrance is worth noting for reactive skin. In a rinse-off product, hyaluronic acid has only brief contact with the skin, so its role is modest.

What users say

On GoPicky the cleanser has 3.7/5 from 47 ratings (checked 31 Oct 2026). Positive reviews describe a pearly cream that lathers richly, cleans well (including sunscreen), does not strip and leaves skin soft, with a subtle scent and good value since a little goes a long way. On COSRX’s own store it shows 4.6/5 from 148 ratings (checked 31 Oct 2026).

On the negative side, some users still feel slight tightness after washing, and others with oily or acne-prone skin say it gave them comedones or felt too heavy in summer – one attributing this to the fatty acids in the formula.

Who it may suit

People with normal to dry skin who like a cushiony, foaming cleanser and do not mind fragrance. Those with acne-prone or very sensitive skin may prefer a fragrance-free, non-soap gel cleanser.
