Packaging and what the product is

Lipikar AP+M (sold in some markets as AP+Max Triple Repair) is a body balm for very dry and atopy-prone skin. The analysed formula comes in a 200 ml bottle with a pump, as shown on the manufacturer’s packshot quoted here.

Ingredient analysis

The formula opens with water, shea butter and glycerin, followed by dimethicone and niacinamide – a classic combination of a humectant, emollients and an occlusive film-former. Rapeseed oil and ceramide NP add lipids of the kind found in the skin barrier, and mannose and Ophiopogon japonicus root extract are the brand’s signature additions; their concentrations are not disclosed.

Emulsifiers (glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 stearate, sorbitan tristearate) and the thickener ammonium polyacryloyldimethyl taurate give the balm its rich texture. There is no parfum on the list.
