Our review

A light gel moisturiser from Lirene’s Aqua Bubbles line with sea water, four forms of hyaluronic acid, mineral salts and blue vitamin E beads. The few public reviews are lukewarm: it absorbs quickly and smells fresh, but most found the hydration too light, and one reported stinging.

Packaging and what the product is

The lirene.com image shows the light-blue carton printed with water bubbles: “Lirene Dermoprogram – AQUA BUBBLES – Hyaluronic acid 4D – Hydrating hydrogel”, “dry and dehydrated skin | gel formula”, day-and-night symbols and a round badge mentioning Earth Marine Water, 97% natural-origin ingredients, vegan and electrolytes. The product is 50 ml; reviewers describe a turquoise jar inside. It is a leave-on face cream for day and night.

Ingredient analysis

Water, propanediol, glycerin and pentylene glycol form a humectant-rich base thickened with carbomer, so the formula is closer to a gel than a rich cream. Sea water, orange fruit extract, spirulina, mannitol and the gluconates of copper, zinc and calcium plus magnesium sulfate supply the “electrolyte” theme. Hyaluronic acid appears as sodium hyaluronate, sodium acetylated hyaluronate, a crosspolymer and a hydrolysed form – the “4D”.

The blue beads are made of microcrystalline cellulose, kaolin, silica and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose coloured with ultramarines and CI 42090, carrying tocopheryl acetate. Preservation relies on sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate and ethylhexylglycerin; parfum and terpineol give the scent.

What to watch out for

Alcohol denat. is fifth on the list, which can feel drying or stinging on reactive or barrier-damaged skin. The formula also contains parfum and colourants. It has no SPF. Being light and low in lipids, it may not be enough on its own for very dry skin.

What users say

Opinions are few: on Wizaż the hydrogel has 3/5 from 7 ratings, and only 14% of raters said they would buy it again (checked 30 Oct 2026). On the plus side, reviewers mention a light, non-greasy texture that absorbs quickly, a fresh, slightly fruity-marine scent, beads that melt in easily, a practical jar and suitability for hot weather or oily and combination skin; two were clearly satisfied.

Most, however, describe the hydration as average or minimal and expected more for dry skin; one felt the face stayed sticky for a while, and one experienced burning and redness right after application and switched to using it on the body. With seven ratings, this is only an indication.

Who it may suit

Normal, combination or oily skin that wants a light, fresh gel moisturiser, especially in summer. Dry, sensitive or alcohol-intolerant skin will likely be better served by a richer, fragrance-free cream.
