Our review

A light, quickly absorbed hand cream for mature skin with shea butter, avocado oil, urea, betaine, vitamins B12, C and E and a postbiotic ferment. The few reviews are positive about comfort and texture; the main reservation is that the moisturising effect can fade quickly on very dry hands.

Reviewers mention a click-shut cap.

Ingredient analysis

After water come Butyrospermum Parkii (shea) butter and its ethyl esters (a lighter, faster-spreading shea derivative), propanediol, Persea Gratissima (avocado) oil and corn starch, which reduces greasiness. Cetearyl alcohol, stearic acid, sodium stearoyl glutamate, glyceryl stearate and polyglyceryl-3 methylglucose distearate build the emulsion.

Humectants betaine and urea sit in the upper middle of the list, followed by cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12, which gives creams a pinkish tint), ascorbic acid, tocopherol, canola and sunflower oils and squalane. Lactobacillus ferment, maltodextrin and gluconolactone form the “microbiome” complex. Benzyl alcohol, benzoic acid, dehydroacetic acid and sodium benzoate preserve it; there is parfum.

What to watch out for

The cream contains fragrance, though no individually declared allergens appear in the INCI. Hands that crack and bleed, or eczema flares, need medical assessment – one reviewer used it during such a flare and describes it as helpful, not curative. Overall the list contains no ingredients with notable restrictions.

Reviewers like the light, creamy texture that absorbs quickly without a greasy film, soft and smooth hands afterwards, a pleasant delicate scent and the handy tube; one found it better than most drugstore hand creams she had used in winter.

Two reviewers gave three stars: one says the feeling of moisture disappears quickly and that very dry hands need something richer, the other found as many pluses as minuses. With so few opinions, treat these as impressions rather than a consensus.

Who it may suit

Normal to dry, mature hands that want light everyday care that does not interfere with work. Very dry or cracked hands may need a richer cream alongside it, as one reviewer does.
