Packaging and what the product is

The photo shows the brand's typical white squeeze tube with a minimal black-and-white label. A tube is hygienic: you do not dip your fingers into the cream. The product is a light everyday moisturising cream for the face.

Ingredient analysis

The base is water, caprylic/capric triglyceride and fatty alcohols (cetyl and stearyl alcohol), which give a creamy emulsion. Glycerin and sodium hyaluronate come early in the list.

What makes the formula distinctive is a long run of NMF-type ingredients: amino acids (arginine, glycine, serine, proline and others), sugars (glucose, trehalose), sodium PCA, sodium lactate and urea, plus lipids such as linoleic acid, phytosteryl canola glycerides and lecithin. Most of these appear after the main humectants, so each is likely present in small amounts.

What to watch out for

The formula contains no added fragrance and none of the fragrance allergens that must be labelled. It is preserved with phenoxyethanol and chlorphenesin, both permitted in the EU within set limits. Triethanolamine, used here to adjust pH, is a restricted ingredient in the EU (see the EU regulation section on its ingredient page).
