Our review

A lightly tinted serum-primer with several forms of hyaluronic acid, a peptide, squalane and plant oils, meant to replace a separate make-up base. Buyers on the brand’s shop rate it top marks, but there are very few independent reviews, and it is heavily fragranced.

Packaging and what the product is

The quoted image from the Dr Irena Eris shop shows a tall, pearly white glass bottle with a pump and a gold-toned collar, labelled “SKIN IDEA Rich Serum Primer” – the image file and the Wizaż listing both use the “Rich Serum Primer” name, while the shop calls it Serum Primer. It holds 30 ml. A Wizaż reviewer describes the fluid as beige-brown in the bottle but invisible once blended.

Ingredient analysis

The base is water and propanediol with silicone (dimethicone) and light emollients – isopropyl isostearate, dicaprylyl carbonate, isononyl isononanoate – plus squalane, shea butter, argan, passionflower, sunflower and moringa oils. Hydration comes from glycerin, pentylene glycol and four forms of hyaluronic acid (sodium acetylated hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate, its crosspolymer and hydrolysed form), plus polyglutamic acid and the prebiotic sugars inulin and alpha-glucan oligosaccharide.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 is the signalling peptide. The soft tint comes from titanium dioxide, iron oxides and caramel, and triethoxycaprylylsilane coats the pigments. Hydroxyacetophenone, ethylhexylglycerin, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate preserve the formula.

What to watch out for

The fragrance is complex: after parfum the label lists hexamethylindanopyran, linalool, linalyl acetate, acetyl cedrene, limonene, bergamot and orange peel oils, patchouli oil, benzyl salicylate, hexyl cinnamal, alpha-isomethyl ionone, citronellol, geranyl acetate and pinene. Several of these are declared fragrance allergens, so fragrance-sensitive skin should test it first.

What users say

Reviews are scarce. The product page on sklep.drirenaeris.com shows 5.0/5 from 7 reviews; Wizaż lists the Rich Serum Primer at 3.5/5 from just 2 ratings (both checked 30 Oct 2026). Shop reviewers describe a sheer, skin-like veil that melts into the complexion, works with or without foundation and does not transfer.

Of the two Wizaż reviewers, one found it smoothing, hydrating and a good base, with a pleasant floral-perfume scent that fades quickly. The other, with combination skin, felt it was neither really a serum nor a primer, saw no notable smoothing or hydration and needed to blot more often; she did not plan to repurchase. Too few opinions exist for firm conclusions.

Who it may suit

Normal to dry skin, or anyone who wants a light, slightly tinted hydrating layer that can be worn alone or under foundation. Oily skin and fragrance-sensitive users may prefer to try a sample first.
